Gut-Brain-Soil Axis w/ Anthony

We all know the importance of the microbes in our soil and the profound impact these have on plant life. When we create the ideal conditions for these beneficial microbes to thrive, our bodies thrive. The direct link between our gut transfers to our brains via the vagus nerve and the Gut-Brain Axis, which affects how well we can tend to our soil. I’ll go over different types of microbes in our guts and point out the similarities between the soil microbes and explain how nurturing the microbes inside our bodies helps us nourish the soil, which in turn also nourishes out gut bacteria. It's a beautiful full circle effect.

Flower Essence Yoga Flow w/ Meraiah

This beginner level class begins with students selecting a flower essence of their choice to partner with theough our class. We will discuss how each essence carries the plants "blue print or essence" and how it can guide us in our practice. A meditation will begin to connect with the essence of the flower we chose and gentle movement will begin, transitioning smoothly from one posture to the next while synchronizing breath with motion. After the body is warmed, more time is spent in select yoga poses to deepen the experience and encourage strength, flexibility, and balance. Modifications and variations provided to accommodate individual needs. This class is suitable for students who are able to transition on and off the floor with confidence.

Wildlife Tracking w/ Abi

Learn to see and connect with the other animals that share our ecosystems by noticing and identifying tracks, scat and other wildlife sign.

No-Waste Micro Homesteading w/ Matthew

See how to use all the waste streams on a micro-homesteading to regenerate poor soil, boost soil fertility, increase yields and reduce costs.

Consume What You Catch w/ Matthew

An interactive demonstration on how to clean(process) a whole fish into filets, and then cook those filets into a basic meal. I plan to bring enough whole fish, cutting boards, filet knives, etc. so that any individuals interested may participate in processing whole fish. Then I'll demonstrate a simple recipe for fried fish with camp stoves and cast iron pans. Inevitably, this will lead to consuming what we've cooked and enjoying good company.

Sushi Making w/ Micha

From Farm to Roll Join us for an immersive introduction to sushi-making, where we pair sashimi-grade fish with the vibrant crunch of farm-fresh vegetables. In this session, you will learn the essential foundations of the craft, including: The Art of Sushi Rice: Mastering the preparation of perfect sticky rice. Sourcing Ingredients: Expert guidance on where to purchase high-quality fish and authentic supplies. Preparation Techniques: Essential knife skills and ingredient staging. The class concludes with a live rolling demonstration, followed by a communal tasting where we will share our creations.
